Kelley Wilson, MD

Principal Investigator

Dr. Kelley Wilson, a board-certified psychiatrist, joins K2 as co-owner and Principal Investigator at K2 Medical Research, Tampa. A Certified PI through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP), she has provided clinical expertise on over 100 clinical trials in the last decade. Formerly the Medical Director of a prestigious independent research facility, she worked with populations ranging from pre-school aged children to the elderly and is proficient in a wide range of neurological and dermatological indications, including Alzheimer’s Disease, Tourette’s Syndrome, Schizophrenia, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, to Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis, Vitiligo, and Pruritus.

Dr. Wilson holds a B.S. in Biology and obtained her medical degree from the University of Alabama’s Birmingham School of Medicine. She completed her adult psychiatry residency at the University of South Florida, where she obtained additional training in pediatric psychiatry. Dr. Wilson is devoted to maintaining good clinical practice and promoting ethics in research and is currently serving as a board member at Sterling Institutional Review Board (a nationally accredited IRB). She is the mother of three wonderful children and when she isn’t working, enjoys yoga, cooking, and art.

Raj Patel

Principal Investigator

As a Board-Certified Psychiatrist with a Doctorate in Medicine educated at a Tier 1 Trauma Center and a Division 1 Athletics University, he developed a proficiency in blending modern medicine and elite athletic training. Dr. Patel professional journey is marked by extensive engagement with a diverse array of high-performance individuals culminating in an in-depth understanding of the intricate nexus between physical endurance, psychological resilience, and emotional tenacity. His approach, integrating contemporary neurobiology and psychoanalysis, tackles the multifaceted challenges faced by those pursuing excellence, empowering both individuals and organizations to reach their zenith experience.

Patricia Delgado, DNP, AGPCNP, DCNP, PMHNP

Sub-Investigator

Patricia Delgado is a doctorally-prepared, board-certified nurse practitioner and sub-investigator at K2 Medical Research, Tampa. Patricia has over 5 years of experience in clinical research, and has over 15 years of clinical experience in critical care, dermatology, and internal medicine. In addition to being certified in primary care, she is also certified in psychiatry and dermatology. She has been involved in over 40 different clinical trials including studies on vitiligo, prurigo nodularis, atopic dermatitis, hidradenitis suppurativa, schizophrenia, major depressive disorder, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, Alzheimer’s disease, migraines, and others. 

In addition to her research work, Patricia is the founder of a wellness and skincare practice in St. Petersburg called Sunrise Skin and Wellness and founded and leads a non-profit organization focused on education and integrity in the dermatology space called Sunrise NPPA Derm Inc. Despite her many responsibilities, she remains committed to her role as a sub-investigator, especially for the opportunity to support diversity in research. As a bilingual provider, she understands how valuable it is for participants to feel seen, heard, and understood in their own language. She finds deep fulfillment in helping patients feel comfortable and empowered throughout the research process, and she is committed to helping ensure that research studies reflect the diversity of the communities they impact.

She is married to a wonderful car-guy with one beautiful fur child named Chili Bangado. When not working, you can find her running, paddleboarding, reading, writing, eating at local spots, travelling, and watching her favorite YouTube channel: Lowtech Garage. 

Brooke Ina RPh

PHARMACIST & PROJECT MANAGER

Brooke Ina joins K2 Medical Research as a pharmacist with over 25 years of experience in the field. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of Kentucky, she brings with her a vast array of experience from working in both small, independent pharmacies and large, notable retail chains such as CVS, Target and Publix. Brooke has apothecary experience and is well versed in drug-compounding; she has also acted as pharmaceutical consultant for companies such as Eli Lilly. Most recently, Brooke spent the last decade working with Publix Pharmacy where she was an assistant manager and after demonstrating her strong leadership and communication skills, was promptly promoted to pharmacy manager. This promotion represents Brooke’s modus operandi; success follows because she is highly self-motivated, has a patient-centered approach to care and displays an eagerness to learn, grow and excel in every role she inhabits. Recently named Publix Immunization Ambassador by company leadership, she continues her mission to foster community engagement and inspire others to prioritize personal and public health. Brooke lives in Lake Mary with her two daughters, Tori and Abby, and dog Maddox. In her free time, she enjoys running, biking, swimming, and yoga.

Brianna Grant

Lead Project Manager

Brianna Grant is a dedicated Project Manager with over five years of experience in healthcare and clinical research. With a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Clinical Health Sciences from the University of Central Florida, she brings both academic insight and hands-on expertise to every project she leads.

Brianna has worked across a broad spectrum of clinical trial indications, including psychiatric, neurological, endocrinology, hematology, infectious medicine, and gastrointestinal studies. Her ability to manage complex trials while maintaining a patient-centered focus makes her a trusted partner in advancing clinical innovation.

Known for her organized approach and collaborative style, Brianna ensures that each study runs efficiently, ethically, and on schedule.

When she’s not managing clinical trials, Brianna enjoys paddle boarding, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with her two dogs and cat.

Arianah Yamin-Laboy

Psychometric Rater

Arianah Yamin-Laboy joins K2 Medical Research as a Psychometric Rater and Project Coordinator. She is a University of Central Florida graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Psychology and Minor in Human Services and Aging Studies. While at UCF, she served as a Peer Educator for the Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), a Trained Peer for Togetherall, an anonymous clinically moderated peer support platform, and as a Research Assistant for UCF’s OLDeR Lab where she assisted in subject recruitment and designed presentation materials.

Her previous experience includes interning as a Behavioral Health Technician for Aspire Health Partners, where she provided recovery support services to individuals with substance use conditions, monitored client progress and family visits, assisted with group therapy and activities, and conducted drug screening tests. She also previously interned at the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Resource Center (ADRC), where she provided resources to caregivers in the community, managed Florida Brain Bank Research Program files, facilitated the smooth sailing of workshops, and created marketing materials. She continues to volunteer for them in her free time. She also enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, friends, and dog, Poppy.

Isabelle Schroeder Le Bourlegat

Regulatory Associate

Isabelle is a Regulatory Associate at K2 Medical Research, where she brings her expertise and passion for health care to ensure that the company complies with industry regulations and standards. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, and her career has evolved from managing roles in the healthcare sector to her current focus in regulatory affairs.

Isabelle is deeply passionate about advancing health care equity and diversity, believing in the importance of providing accessible, inclusive care to all individuals. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending time with her cats, exploring the outdoors through hiking, and cherishing moments with her family.

Melissa Belardo, APRN

Clinical Investigator

Melissa Belardo, is a certified family nurse practitioner (FNP-BC), joins K2 Medical Research with more than a decade of clinical experience. She has served as an investigator in over 20 trials. Prior to clinical research, she held roles in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nurse education.

Melissa’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Adventist University, followed by a master’s degree in Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University.

Melissa is a native of the US Virgin Islands’ and is fluent in both English and Spanish; Melissa has lived in central Florida for the past twenty years. When she’s not at work, you can find her volunteering at her local church and spending time with family.
