Dr. Joseph Geffen is a Board Internal Medicine physician with extensive experience treating and managing complex patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Building upon a strong foundation in traditional care, Dr. Geffen now focuses his expertise on the forefront of medical advancement as an investigator at K2 Medical Research in Central Florida, where he leads clinical trials in the areas of dementia, cardiovascular risk reduction, metabolism, and longevity.
Dr. Geffen earned his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine and Master of Public Health from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Florida, Jacksonville. His comprehensive clinical background, which includes special interests in geriatrics, the gut microbiome, and obesity medicine, profoundly informs his current approach to medical research and trial leadership.
Dedicated to continuous innovation in healthcare, Dr. Geffen is an active member of the American College of Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, and the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association.
While his daily focus has shifted toward pioneering new treatments, his dedication to improving patient outcomes and fostering meaningful connections remains at the core of his professional philosophy.
